Her passion for Italian food was ignited from early childhood, growing up in an Argentinian household of Italian background that valued all things homemade and food as the main guest in any celebration. In her free time, she travels all over Italy mingling with locals and sharing in the culture, food, language and love for all things Italian.

Stock Up Your Italian Pantry for Fall

In 2019, American classical musicians Zeneba Bowers and Matt Walker bought a 50 mq (500 sq ft) apartment for €26,000 in the town of Soriano nel Cimino, an hour north of Rome. This would become their new (and only) home six months later, when they quit their 20-year symphony jobs, obtained work visas, sold their house in Nashville TN, and moved to Italy (with four cats!) to live and work here as musicians – just three months before the pandemic lockdowns.
 While in lockdown, with public events prohibited, they performed concerts from their little terrazza every evening for 62 nights in a row &#8211; first just for their neighbors, and then into the PA in the town’s piazza, and then broadcast live on Facebook. This “Buonasera Soriano” concert series was featured on CBS Sunday Morning in May 2020, in a story about people playing from their balconies in Italy in the lockdown period.

Born and raised in Chicago, Jordan’s career in food began in 1998 working for notable area restaurants such as Coco Pazzo and Blackbird. With a deep passion for Italian cuisine, Jordan moved to Italy in 2002 and worked in restaurants in both Spoleto and Florence.  Jordan moved to New York City in 2003 joining Marco Canora at Hearth as a line cook. Jordan was promoted to Chef de Cuisine in 2006 and remained there until 2011. Not long after, Jordan joined David Chang’s Momofuku group as Director of Culinary Operations. He spent the next two years in New York and Toronto overseeing culinary programming. Jordan left Momofuku in 2014 to become Executive Chef at Sessanta in Soho. Jordan was the Executive Chef at 10 Corso Como Restaurant in New York City prior to becoming the Executive Chef and partner of the Leopard at Des Artistes in 2020. In 2024, Jordan is pursuing new culinary opportunities.
