Sunday Shop: Dreamy NYC lunch spot, Rosemary’s Summer of Spritz and a can’t miss burger, martini deal

Morgan Hines seeks out the best in not only food and drink but style, housewares, and more. Welcome to Appetito’s Sunday Shop!

7:24 PM EDT on August 9, 2026

Hello, hello! I am back from vacation—and so thrilled to be here.

I’m skipping shopping recs today in favor of a few restaurant highlights based on recent hosted experiences as we progress further into August.

I’m Morgan Hines, Appetito’s food and style writer. I have experience covering travel, fashion, food, entertainment, lifestyle, health and fitness and more.

I keep my finger on the pulse of what’s fresh, trending, and classically stylish, working to incorporate those elements into my daily life. Now, through Appetito’s Sunday Shop, I’m ready to share those insights with you.

This is meant to be a casual, quick look, but I’m always happy to expand on inclusions. Feel free to email morgan@morganhines.com if you want more details on any products, restaurants, or experiences—maybe I’ll even write a follow-up piece.

Cheers,

Morgan

Dining in a floral fantasy

I recently stopped into Park Rose with a friend for a leisurely Friday lunch on a rare PTO day and was completely charmed by the space.

The seasonal Italian-American eatery located in the Hotel Park Ave NYC offers an environment that feels practically verdant in the midst of the city’s concrete characteristics. With plush, golden seating, marble-topped tables and gorgeous floral murals spanning the space that is cast in natural light, it’s a gorgeous environment and the menu matches the aesthetic.

I enjoyed a Hugo spritz along with the Butter Lettuce Salad with salmon and had my eye on the restaurant’s High Tea Sunday Brunch for a future reservation.

Summer of Spritz

Rosemary’s is once again putting on its Summer of Spritz—my favorite season of the year.

The restaurant, with locations in Midtown, West Village, East Village and Miami, is offering an array of spritzes. The $17 menu ranges from classics such as the Aperol and Campari variations to Rosemary’s unique offerings including the Rosemary’s Spritz and Averna Savory, among others.

These offerings pair perfectly with a delicious pasta or pizza dish, depending on location.

A burger, martini fix that will improve any Monday

In NoMad, neo-noir modern (and ultra-chic) cocktail lounge Obvio is offering a burger and martini fix that will cure any Monday blues.

During dinner service on Mondays, the Obvio Burger and Obvio Martini are being offered for $45. Chef John Fraser’s burger is mouth-watering—likely to make my personal top-ten in New York. Made with clothbound cheddar and “Mary Rose”-inspired sauce, it’s the right balance of rich taste and classic indulgence.

The Obvio Martini, the brainchild of beverage director and James Beard Award semifinalist Amy Racine, pairs well with the burger. Created with Abrojo Oaxaca Gin made from “upcycled” mezcal fibers, celery root and blanc vermouth, the drink is savory—and very strong.
